Bruce Sherley – Eurogas Corporation (eug:tse)

BRUCE SHERLEY is President and Chief Operating Officer of Eurogas Corporation, an independent oil and gas company with operations in Tunisia, Spain and Canada. Since joining Eurogas Corporation in 1999, Mr. Sherley has played a major role in evaluating the company's exploration acreage in Tunisia, maturing its underground natural gas storage project in Spain and optimizing the value of the Canadian producing properties. Prior to joining Eurogas, Mr. Sherley spent 23 years with Home Oil Company Limited in various management capacities of increasing responsibility in both Canadian and international engineering and exploration. From 1990 to 1996 Mr. Sherley served as Vice President of Engineering and Operations and was an Officer of the company. During this period, an aggressive exploitation program increased production from 150 to 250 million cubic feet of natural gas per day. Mr. Sherley served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Sterling Resources Limited from 1996 to 1999, an independent oil and gas company with operations in Canada, Romania and the United Kingdom. An engineering graduate from The University of Calgary in 1971, Mr. Sherley is an active community leader. Since 1989, he has served on the Board of Directors of the Children's Cottage Society of Calgary, an agency involved in the prevention of abuse of children, holding the position of President of the Board for the past four years. In 2001, the Cottage provided respite for over 3,300 children in crisis situations. Mr. Sherley recently served three years as a Director at the Silver Springs Golf Course and enjoys fly-fishing in his spare time. Profile
