AMEESH DIVATIA is the Chief Executive Officer of Aarohi
Communications, Inc. Mr. Divatia was responsible for identifying
the founding team and arranging the seed funding. Subsequently,
he guided the team to define their value proposition and business
plan leading to their Series A funding round of $15 million.
Prior to joining Aarohi in March 2001, he was Chief Product
Strategist for the Optical Transport Business Unit at Cisco
Systems in San Jose, California. At Cisco, his team was
responsible for system architecture, technology integration and
strategic planning for the entire business unit that included
optical transport, dense wave division multiplexing and service
delivery systems. Mr. Divatia came to Cisco in March 1999 through
the acquisition of PipeLinks, a San Jose startup that developed
SONET/SDH routers capable of simultaneously transporting legacy
voice and IP (Internet Protocol) traffic, where he was the
Founder and Chief Technology Officer. Prior to PipeLinks, he
worked at 3Com where he was responsible for product architecture
and new technology development. Mr. Divatia also worked at Allied
Telesyn doing product development and Advanced Micro Devices
where he was responsible for new product definition and
applications support. Mr. Divatia received an MS degree in
Electrical Engineering from the University of California at
Irvine in 1989, where his area of concentration was performance
analysis of communication networks. Prior to that, he received
his Bachelor of Engineering (Electronics) degree from the MS
