Joseph Sansone – Pediatric Services Of America Inc (psai)

JOSEPH SANSONE founded and has held the position of President, Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board for Pediatric Services of America, Inc. (PSA), since the company's formation in 1989. During his tenure, Mr. Sansone carved a niche which led PSA to grow from a $10 million regional oxygen company to the nation's largest pediatric home healthcare organization with revenues exceeding $200 million. Mr. Sansone was selected National Entrepreneur of the Year in 1997 in the field of Medicine and Life Sciences. He also received The Atlanta Business Chamber's Gazelle Award in 1995 for leading one of Atlanta's fastest growing companies. PSA has been listed in Forbes Magazine as one of '1997's 200 Best Small Companies' and in Business Weeks' 1995 list of 'Hot Growth Companies.' Prior to his current position, Mr. Sansone served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Ambulatory Services of America, Inc. (ASA), a subsidiary of Charter Medical Corporation (Magellen), beginning in 1987. In 1989, Mr. Sansone coordinated a management buyout of ASA, changed its focus to pediatrics and, as PSA, completed a public offering in 1994 and a secondary offering in 1995. From 1985 to 1987, Mr. Sansone worked at American Medical International, Inc. (Tenet) as Vice President of the company's Home Health Equipment Centers. While employed with Tenet, Mr. Sansone held the position of Senior Vice President (1982-1987), and Regional Vice President (1972-1982) for AMI's respiratory contract division.
