Peter Howe – Diadem Resources Ltd (dir:tsx.v)

PETER HOWE is President and Chief Executive Officer of Diadem Resources Ltd. He is a mining engineer who graduated with a BSc at Imperial College, and an ARSM at the Royal School of Mines, London, England. He attended schools in England and Australia. He is a registered Professional Engineer of Ontario, and a Fellow of the Canadian and Australian Mining and Metallurgical Societies. Mr. Howe's experience includes management of small gold mines in Zimbabwe, prior to becoming a resident of Canada in 1955. In 1960 he commenced consulting for exploration companies in Canada, and in 1965 founded the firm of A.C.A. Howe International Limited (HI). During the ensuing years HI expanded to offices in Australia, England, South Africa and Indonesia. Mr. Howe also founded Howe Exploration and Development Co. Ltd. (HED) to operate as a mine contractor. Their main function was to re-open old mines, and also drive tunnels and ramps to facilitate exploration of ore deposits prior to feasibility study. In 1995, Mr. Howe ceased working for HI in the consulting business and turned HED into a publicly listed company called Diadem Resources Ltd. During his career as a consultant Mr. Howe was in charge of exploration that resulted in several producing mines including Tantalum Mining Corporation in Canada, the Jabaluka Uranium Mine in Australia, a tin mine in Cornwall, England, and three gold producers in Indonesia. Since forming Diadem Resources Ltd. the company has successfully explored and found a diversity of resources in five countries including copper-nickel and zinc in Quebec, Canada, gold in Nicaragua, silver and zinc in Mexico, zinc-lead-silver in Indonesia, and in the USA discovered the first rock formation containing diamonds in California.
