CORNELIUS B. PRIOR JR. is the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of
Atlantic Tele-Network, Inc., a company he co-founded in June 1987 when
the company purchased from ITT the local telephone company in the US
Virgin Islands. ATN became a public company in 1991 and is listed on the
American Stock Exchange. Today ATN owns 80% of Guyana Telephone Company,
44% of Cellular One in Bermuda, 100% of Choice Communications (wireless
TV and ISP) in the US Virgin Islands, and 100% of Atlantic Tele-Center
in Guyana. Mr. Prior was a Fulbright Scholar and started his career as a
Wall Street lawyer with Sullivan & Cromwell in 1963. From 1980 until
June 1987, he was a Managing Director and stockholder of Kidder, Peabody
& Co., where he directed the Telecommunications Finance Group. He is
presently Chairman of the Caribbean Association of National Telephone
Organizations, a Trustee of Caribbean/Latin American Action, a Trustee
of Holy Cross College and a member of the Board of Overseers' Visiting
Committee for the Harvard Law School. Profile
