Charles Bellfield – Sega Of America (segny)

CHARLES BELLFIELD, Vice President of Strategic Planning and Corporate Affairs for SEGA of America, is responsible for all corporate planning and communications among SEGA companies and existing and future SEGA partners, as well as all investor, analyst and industry relations. Moving forward, Mr. Bellfield will continue to oversee all corporate strategy and communications, establishing the company as the leading global publisher of interactive entertainment. Prior to this position, he served as Vice President of Corporate and Marketing Communications and was responsible for all global communications efforts surrounding SEGA's change in business strategy to become a platform agnostic software publisher. Previously, Mr. Bellfield also served as Director of Marketing Communications and managed all public relations for the launch of SEGA Dreamcast. Mr. Bellfield was also a driving force in SEGA's online initiatives and content. Prior to joining SEGA, he was brand- marketing manager at NEC Electronics, responsible for strategic brand marketing worldwide for NEC's multimedia technology and products. During his tenure there, Mr. Bellfield initiated a $25 million worldwide brand- marketing program to clearly communicate NEC's product family to the industry and consumers. The program was a first for NEC, and was key to the successful design wins at Nintendo, SEGA, Compaq, Gateway, and Matrox Graphics. Prior to joining NEC, he held marketing/public relations positions at UK-based VideoLogic Ltd., the number one supplier of emerging multimedia technology and products to the European market, and at Proctor & Gamble's UK-based operation.
