Stewart Owens – Bob Evans Farms Inc (bobe)

STEWART K. OWENS is Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of Bob Evans Farms, Inc. Mr. Owens is responsible for the restaurant and food operations of a $1 billion company known for its fresh food products and family restaurants where a family atmosphere prevails at all levels of the company. He began his career at Owens Country Sausage while going to college at Southern Methodist University in Dallas. After graduating, Mr. Owens worked at Owens Country Sausage as an Office Manager. Within three years, Mr. Owens was promoted to Vice President of Administration. In March 1984, he was promoted to President of Owens Country Sausage. In January 1987, Bob Evans Farms, Inc., acquired Owens Country Sausage. Three years later, Mr. Owens relocated to Columbus, Ohio, to accept the responsibilities of Group Vice President responsible for food products and member of the Board of Directors for Bob Evans Farms. In January 1994, he was named Executive Vice President, Chief Operating Officer of Bob Evans Farms, Inc., and was named President in August 1995. Most recently, he was appointed Chief Executive Officer in April 2000 and Chairman of the Board in April 2001. In addition to his responsibilities at Bob Evans Farms, Inc., he serves as a Board member for the following organizations: the American Meat Institute, Columbus Association for the Performing Arts and Recreation Unlimited.
