RONALD GREEN is President of FPL Energy, LLC. He brings more than 30
years of experience in managing a wide array of energy business
activities. He most recently served as President and CEO of Duke
Engineering and Services, Inc., and President and Chief Operating
Officer of DukeSolutions, Inc., both subsidiaries of Duke Energy. He
also has served as a member of the Board of Directors of Duke Energy
Trading and Marketing, Duke/Fluor Daniel and DukeSolutions, Inc. He
joined Duke Energy in April 1999. Prior to joining Duke Energy, Mr.
Green was President of Tejas Power Generation, responsible for leading
the development of the power generation business of Tejas Energy, an
affiliate of Shell Oil Company. He has had extensive experience in
managing the engineering and construction of power plants, having held
senior management positions with Fluor Corporation and Duke/Fluor Daniel
over a 15-year period. Mr. Green was the founding President of
Duke/Fluor Daniel in 1989, which today has revenues of more than $4.5
billion. A native of Tennessee, Mr. Green has a Bachelor's of Science
degree in Engineering Physics and a Master's in Engineering
Administration from the University of Tennessee. He also has completed
advanced management programs at the Wharton School of Business and the
American Graduate School of International Management. Mr. Green serves
as a member of the Board of Directors and Chairman of its Executive
Committee for the College of Engineering at the University of Tennessee,
Knoxville. He also is an Advisory Board member for the National Society
of Black Engineers and is a member of the American Nuclear Society and
the American Society of Mechanical Engineers. Profile
