KEN MARCHMAN currently serves as Director, Advanced Products, for
Stratos Lightwave, Inc., located in Chicago, Illinois. Previously he
served as General Manager of the Fiber Optic unit of Stratos. An 18-year
veteran of the optical communication industry, he has held various
engineering, sales, and business management roles throughout his career
and has published many articles covering optical technologies and
markets. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from
