Susan Johnson, senior vice president, is acting chief financial officer
while Sapient conducts a search for a permanent replacement. In this
role, Ms. Johnson is responsible for the overall financial management
of Sapient, including the company's banking and investor relations. She
also plays an active part in guiding the Sapient's domestic and
international business strategy. Since joining Sapient in 1994, Ms.
Johnson has held various key leadership positions and has significantly
contributed to the growth of many of the company's internal
organizations. Ms. Johnson served previously as Sapient's chief
financial officer from 1994 through 1999, during which time she played a
critical role in executing Sapient's initial public offering in early
1996 and subsequent offerings and acquisitions. From 1999 through
February 2002, Ms. Johnson remained an active member of the company 's
leadership team, most recently focusing on improving Sapient's business
development processes. Before joining Sapient, she was vice president
for finance and administration and CFO for Bitstream, Inc., where she
was instrumental in developing strategies to revitalize and redirect the
company. Ms. Johnson has also held management positions at Arthur
Andersen, where she was responsible for tax preparation and corporate
audits. Ms. Johnson holds a bachelor's degree in accounting from Babson
