David Pickering – Charteris Plc (cae.l)

DAVID PICKERING (47) is Chief Executive of Charteris PLC. David Pickering is an experienced business manager with a track record in leading service-based businesses to achieve major growth. He has undertaken a wide range of business consultancy and management assignments in a variety of market sectors. Prior to joining Charteris he spent eleven years with Logica where he became director of the Energy and Utilities Division, which grew rapidly into one of the company's largest operating units. Sales in this Division increased from around 20 million in the year before his appointment to over 50 million per annum in the 2 years under his leadership. He also has direct experience of the finance, manufacturing and distribution sectors. David is an Honours graduate of Manchester University in Electrical and Electronic Engineering and has a Masters degree in Electronic Engineering from Brunel University. David joined Charteris in July 1997 as Business Development Director and took over from Cliff Preddy as Chief Executive on 1 July 1999. Profile
