BARRY SCHECHTER is the founder and CEO of SVI Solutions, a
leading provider of multi-channel software solutions for global
retail clients. The company is based in Carlsbad, California,
with offices in Irvine, California, and London. A visionary who
was one of the first business executives to focus on technology
in South Africa in the late 1970s, he came to the United States
in the late 1980s and saw an opportunity in melding technology to
the retail marketplace. He has subsequently built a company that
has 180 employees and serves a client base that reads like the
Who's Who in the retail marketplace: Home Depot, Office Max, Toys
'R' Us, The Disney Stores, Nike, Victoria's Secret and The
Limited, to name a few. In this volatile marketplace, Mr.
Schechter has taken the reins of the company in a major
restructuring. He has aggressively cut expenses, refocused the
organization, creating a new paradigm for SVI to increase
revenues and return the company to profitability, while forging
new affinity marketing agreements with major industry players. Profile

Mr. Schechter: Briefly, SVI Solutions is a company that
