WILLIAM RILEY and his partners purchased Moore-Handley in 1981 and
brought the company public in 1986. He was non-executive Chairman until
1997, when the Board asked him to serve as CEO. He agreed to do so
contingent on Board approval of Mike Gaines as President and COO, which
was granted. Before purchasing Moore-Handley, Mr. Riley was Chairman of
Ivy Corporation, a diversified manufacturer of building products with
plants throughout the South. He also is a Director of Fabco-Air, Inc., a
Gainesville, Florida pneumatics manufacturer and serves on various non-
profit boards, mainly related to conservation. He is a graduate of
University of Notre Dame and Yale University Law School. Profile
