Paul Griswold – Paxar Corporation (pxr)

PAUL J. GRISWOLD is a seasoned executive whose strategic vision, management, and leadership skills have helped establish him as an effective leader both internationally and on Wall Street. Since joining Paxar Corporation in February 2000 as President and Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Griswold has helped to maintain the company's global presence while continuing to leverage Paxar's key strengths and enhance its competitive position as an industry leader. Prior to his position at Paxar, Mr. Griswold was Vice President of International Operations for Tenneco Packaging. During his two years with PepsiCo, Mr. Griswold had the opportunity to involve himself in a comprehensive supply chain management position as he led the operations and procurement side of the company's $8 billion beverage business. While serving in this capacity, Mr. Griswold was also selected to head up a major reengineering project in conjunction with CSC Index. Mr. Griswold began his career with International Paper, holding a succession of positions from marketing and sales to logistics and operations. After 13 years with IP, he managed a technology partnership backed by Bear, Stearns where he served as President and Chief Operating Officer, playing a major role in taking the company public. In addition to his role as President and Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Griswold is also a member of Paxar's Board of Directors. Mr. Griswold: Paxar is a New York Stock Exchange listed public company.

It went public in 1969 as a
