JON E. GOODRICH is the founder, President and CEO of Mace Security
International, Inc., located in Bennington, VT. Founded by Goodrich in
1987 with a single defense spray product line, MSI has incorporated into
a leading manufacturer of protection products for civilians, law
enforcement and military communities worldwide. Goodrich has excellent
business fundamentals through years of experience in personal protection
markets. His business ventures include companies such as: Gould &
Goodrich, Inc. in Lillington, North Carolina, Lawrence Leather in
Portland, Oregon, Home Security Inc. in Nashville, Tennessee and the
Smith & Wesson Chemical Company in Rock creek, Ohio. This encounter with
Smith & Wesson became the first phase in what we know today as Mace
Security International, Inc. Jon E. Goodrich graduated from St. Lawrence
University in 1967 with a degree in Philosophy. He also earned credits
at Northwestern University in real estate law. Throughout his success,
he has made special efforts to give back to the local communities of
Vermont, Massachusetts and Upstate New York. Goodrich is married and has
seven children. He enjoys skiing, jogging, and mountain bike riding
