Steven Purvis – Luther King Capital Management

STEVEN R. PURVIS has been Vice President and Director of Research for Luther King Capital Management since 1996. As director of Research he is responsible for overseeing the firm's investment process. This includes managing the investment staff, monitoring and reviewing existing holdings and evaluating new investment ideas. Other responsibilities include the analysis and investment decisions in the capital goods sector, forest and paper products industry, media/entertainment and several consumer cyclical industries. In addition, Mr. Purvis co-manages the LKCM Small Cap Equity Fund. Prior to joining the firm, he was Vice President and Senior Analyst with Roulston Research Corporation and was a research analyst, economic analyst and portfolio assistant with Waddell & Reed. Mr. Purvis' educational background includes a BS in Business Administration from the University of Missouri, Columbia, and an MBA from the University of Missouri, Kansas City. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst. Mr. Purvis is currently a member of the University of Missouri Faculty Advisory Board, the Association of Investment Management and Research and the Dallas Association of Investment Analysts. Profile
