L.decker Dawson – Dawson Geophysical Company (dwsn)

L. DECKER DAWSON is the Founder, Chairman and CEO of Dawson Geophysical Company. Mr. Dawson has spent his career in the energy industry and has been a member of the Society of Exploration Geophysicists since 1948, and has served as the President and Secretary-Treasurer. He is a past President and honorary life member of the Permian Basin Geophysical Society, a Director, past Chairman of the Board and honorary life member of the International Association of Geophysical Contractors, and a member of the European Association of Exploration Geophysicists. A recipient of numerous industry awards, including the 'Top Hand' award from the Permian Basin Petroleum Association and the Enterprise Award from the Society of Exploration Geophysicists, he was inducted into the Permian Basin Petroleum Museum Hall of Fame in 1997. Mr. Dawson currently serves as the Chairman of the Geology Foundation Advisory Council of the University of Texas at Austin, a member of the Board of Trustees of Midland Community Theatre, and a member of the Board of Governors of Midland Memorial (Hospital) Foundation.
