ROBERT L. SORAN is President and Chief Operating Officer of Uniroyal
Technology Corporation. He is also a Director of UTC and serves on the
Executive Committee. Before joining Uniroyal, Mr. Soran was President
and CEO of Tropicana Products. He was employed in 1973 by Beatrice
Foods, Tropicana's owner, when Beatrice acquired his business in
California. He worked in various assignments for Beatrice, including
mergers and acquisitions and managing Swift & Company in Europe prior to
joining Tropicana. Mr. Soran Chaired the Substance Abuse Committee of
Florida Governor Martinez's Workforce 2000,was appointed by President
George Bush to serve on the National Drug Advisory Council, and has been
instrumental in developing the national Drug Free Workplace program. He
is a member of the Florida Council of 100, the Executive Committee of
the Tampa Bay Partnership, the Board of the Florida High Tech Corridor
Council and the Board of Trustees of the University of South Florida. Profile
