STEVEN GILLIS co-founded Corixa Corporation in October 1994 and
has served as Chief Executive Officer and as a Director of Corixa
since then. Dr. Gillis has served as the Chairman of the Board of
Directors since March 1999. From 1994 to February 1999, Dr.
Gillis served as President. Dr. Gillis was a co-Founder of
Immunex, where he held multiple positions, including acting Chief
Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board of Immunex. In
addition, Dr. Gillis is a Director of both Micrologix Biotech and
Genesis Research and Development Corporation. He also serves on
the Scientific Advisory Board of Medarex. Dr. Gillis graduated
from Williams College and received his PhD from Dartmouth
