Daniel Kisner – Caliper Technologies Corporation (calp)

DANIEL L. KISNER, MD, President and CEO, joined Caliper Technologies Corp. from Isis Pharmaceuticals where he was President and Chief Operating Officer. He had previously been responsible for business development, product development, and manufacturing as Executive Vice President. Prior to joining Isis, Dr. Kisner was Division Vice President of Pharmaceutical Development for Abbott Laboratories where he led a team of 650 scientists, physicians and support personnel. His responsibilities included the preclinical and clinical development of all Abbott Laboratories' ethical pharmaceuticals. Dr. Kisner has also held the position of Vice President of Clinical Research and Development for International Studies for SmithKline Beckman Corporation and has a tenured position in the Division of Oncology at The University of Texas, San Antonio School of Medicine. Dr. Kisner is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and certified in Medical Oncology. He is the author of more than 50 scientific papers and 40 abstracts in clinical journals and textbooks. Dr. Kisner received his MD from Georgetown University in 1972. Profile
