Brian Harker – Dimon Incorporated (dmn)

BRIAN J. HARKER, President and CEO of DIMON, Incorporated, joined Monk- Austin, Inc., one of DIMON's predecessor companies, in 1990 as Vice President in charge of evaluating the company's worldwide operations. He became Senior Vice President-Director of International Operations for Monk-Austin in 1991. Mr. Harker served in that capacity until 1995 when Monk-Austin merged with Dibrell Brothers, Incorporated, to form DIMON. At that time, Mr. Harker became Senior Vice President of the company's tobacco division. In 1996, DIMON promoted Mr. Harker to the position of Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. On May 17, 1999, he became President and Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Harker is a citizen of the United States. His experience prior to his work with DIMON and Monk-Austin includes international management consulting, Managing Director of Deloitte & Touche Management Consultants, and partner in the accounting firm of Deloitte & Touche in Zimbabwe. He received his MBA from Cranfield University School of Management. Mr. Harker has lived and worked in Zimbabwe, Belgium and the UK. He is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales ' FCA and a member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (MCIM). Profile
