MARK H. BERLIND currently serves as Associate General Counsel, Corporate
Affairs Legal, at Philip Morris Management Corp. In this position, Mr.
Berlind acts as Counsel to the Philip Morris Companies Corporate Affairs
organization, specializing in tobacco regulatory issues. Prior to this,
Mr. Berlind was Senior Assistant General Counsel for Worldwide
Regulatory Affairs, and he joined Philip Morris in 1996 as Assistant
General Counsel for Worldwide Regulatory Affairs. Mr. Berlind previously
held the position of General Counsel of Gemini Consulting/Cap Gemini
America, a computer and management consultancy from 1990-1996. He was an
Associate at Cleary, Gottlieb, Steen & Hamilton from 1987-1990. Mr.
Berlind received a BA from Tufts University and a JD from Cornell Law
