Kent Kalkwarf – Charter Communications (chtr)

KENT D. KALKWARF is Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Charter Communications. Mr. Kalkwarf joined Charter Communications in July 1995 as Vice President-Finance and Acquisitions. He was promoted to Senior Vice President-Mergers and Acquisitions in 1996; and named Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer in 1997. Mr. Kalkwarf was promoted to Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer in August 2000. He has been instrumental in growing Charter through acquisitions funded by very successful financing activities, including one of the nation's largest IPOs ' the largest media IPO in history and various recent high yield and equity financings. Prior to joining Charter, Mr. Kalkwarf was a Senior Tax Manager for Arthur Andersen, Certified Public Accountants. With Arthur Andersen, Mr. Kalkwarf gained extensive experience in mergers and acquisitions and partnership formations in the consumer product, real estate and cable television industries. Mr. Kalkwarf also headed the international tax practice for Arthur Andersen in St. Louis, Missouri. He was involved with international acquisitions and divestitures and significant foreign tax credit planning. Mr. Kalkwarf: Charter has its roots as an entrepreneurial company

founded in 1993, but we actually go back much further to a
