Edgard Zwirn – Unilabs Sa (ulb.s)

EDGARD ZWIRN is Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of Unilabs SA. Mr Zwirn is a graduate of the Free University of Brussels, where he received a degree in Economics and a degree in Political Science in 1970. He had various senior management positions with Belgian companies, principally in the areas of computer software for medical applications and technical equipment leasing. In 1987, he was elected a Director of IESA Investissements, a Swiss financing company headquartered in Geneva, specialising in financial investments and taking investments in various companies. In 1987 also, along with a group of investors, he formed Unilabs Holdings, which subsequently acquired the Swiss clinical laboratories of MetPath Inc., and he was elected Chairman of the Board of Directors of Unilabs Holdings. In 1989, Unilabs SA was founded as a wholly owned subsidiary of Unilabs Holdings, and he was elected Chairman of the Board of Directors and a Member of the Executive and the Audit Committee.
