JOSEPH CYR covers telecom equipment for next-generation network
solutions for CIBC World Markets. Before joining CIBC, he was at AT&T
Bell Labs and Lucent Technologies where he managed numerous research and
development projects over the course of his career including Voice over
IP solutions, videoconferencing products, multiprocessor computer
systems, operating systems and application software. Mr. Cyr holds an MS
in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois and a BS in
Computer Science from Aurora University. He also holds several patents
related to multimedia communication systems and computer operating
