SURAJ KALIA joined Northland Securities, Inc., in March 2003 and follows life sciences and technology companies. Prior to Northland, Mr. Kalia worked in the Business Development Group at Entegris, Inc., where he was responsible for analyzing potential acquisition targets, strategic and financial valuation, due diligence, deal structuring and management interviews. Prior to moving to Minneapolis to join Entegris, he worked as an analyst at a boutique broker-dealer in New Jersey, where he wrote and modeled numerous companies in the healthcare sector. Prior to moving to the US, he worked for 4 years in India at Tata Capital as an Investment Banking Analyst. Mr. Kalia has over 10 years of work experience in equity research, M&A and engineering. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology in Bombay, India. He received his Master's degree in Chemical Engineering at Stevens Institute of Technology, New Jersey and his MBA from the University of St. Thomas, Minneapolis, where he currently serves an Adjunct Professor of Finance for the MBA curriculum. ELI KAMMERMAN covers the medical devices industry as a Senior Analyst at Cathay Financial LLC. He began following the industry in 1994, after following the biotechnology sector for two years. As an Analyst, Mr. Kammerman has worked at Merrill Lynch, Salomon Brothers, and Raymond James. He was employed for 11 years in the biotech, diagnostics and pharmaceutical industries in production and marketing positions. ANTHONY V. VENDETTI has been a Senior Healthcare Analyst on Wall Street for more than 10 years and follows the medical device, healthcare information technology and services industries. Prior to joining Maxim Group, LLC, Mr. Vendetti was a Senior Healthcare Analyst at Gruntal, UBS Securities and Ladenburg Thalmann. Mr. Vendetti also worked for three years in the healthcare industry at CIGNA, ultimately as a Senior Healthcare Analyst in the managed care division. His responsibilities at CIGNA included industry research, forecasting healthcare expenditures, writing analytical narratives of clients' medical benefit plans, and identifying cost containment measures.
