R. ELISE BAUM is Senior Portfolio Manager of the Merrill Lynch Small Cap
Value Fund, Inc., and the Merrill Lynch Mid Cap Value Fund, Inc. She
joined Merrill Lynch Investment Managers in 1993 as a member of the
investment team of the Merrill Lynch Small Cap Value fund, Inc.
Previously, she was a Consultant for the Merrill Lynch Global Allocation
Fund, Inc., and a Senior Analyst for the Merrill Lynch Equity Index
Trust. From 1985 to 1987 Ms. Baum was a Financial Analyst for Lockheed
Finance Corporation. She earned a Bachelor's degree in Political Economy
from the University of California at Berkeley and a Master's degree in
Finance from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. Ms.
