PHILIP G. WEAVER was named Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of
Cooper Tire & Rubber Company in December 1998. A Certified Public
Accountant, he joined Cooper in 1990 as tire division Controller and in
1994 was named Vice President in the tire division. Previously, he was a
Principal and Senior Manager at Ernst & Young and its predecessor firm,
Arthur Young & Co., serving in its Manchester, New Hampshire, and
Toledo, Ohio, offices. He graduated from Bowling Green State University
and completed the Harvard Business School Advanced Management
International Senior Manager's Program. Mr. Weaver is a member and past
President of the Toledo Chapter of the Financial Executives Institute,
and a past Regional Director of that organization. He is also a member
of the Ohio Society of CPAs and the American Institute of CPAs. Profile
