Grisanti, Christopher C.
Christopher C. Grisanti is the Owner and Co-Founder of Grisanti Capital Management. He is a graduate of Harvard Law School, magna cum laude, and Holy Cross College, and he holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation. He practiced corporate law at the New York firm of Simpson Thacher & Bartlett before joining the investment company Spears Benzak Salomon & Farrell in 1994, where he became Director of Research, supervising a team of nine analysts. In 1999 he and Vance Brown left SBSF and were two Founders of GCM. Their analytical background led the firm to focus on concentrated, long-term investments driven by extensive research. Since its beginnings in July 1999, Mr. Grisanti has been a Co-Portfolio Manager of the firm’s main Large Cap Value product, which has returned 82% since inception, versus the S&P 500 Index, which is up 29%. In February 2010 the firm initiated a second product, the High Income Equity Portfolio, for which Mr. Grisanti is also the Co-Portfolio Manager. Mr. Grisanti serves, or has served, on numerous not-for-profit boards including the HealthCare Chaplaincy, the American Shakespeare Center, Good Counsel Homes and One East End Avenue Corporation, for which he is the President.
