Office & Industrial Reits: David Fick – Legg Mason Wood Walker

DAVID M. FICK is Managing Director of Real Estate Research at Legg Mason Wood Walker. Mr. Fick analyzes the real estate industry, focusing on the retail real estate sector, including companies investing in regional malls, shopping centers and factory outlet centers. Mr. Fick has 20 years of real estate industry experience. Prior to joining Legg Mason, he was a real estate investment specialist and structured numerous transactions for real estate investors. He was previously Equity Vice President of LaSalle Partners/Alex. Brown Kleinwort Benson. Mr. Fick was also Chief Financial Officer of Western Development/Mills Corporation. Prior to that he was a practicing CPA and consultant with a national accounting firm, specializing in the real estate industry. Mr. Fick is on the active faculty of the Berman Real Estate Institute of Johns Hopkins University, where he teaches real estate finance, real estate accounting and taxation, and real estate capital markets.
