LOUIS P. GIGNAC has served as President, Chief Executive Officer and
Director of Cambior Inc. since its creation in 1986. Mr. Gignac was
previously employed by Falconbridge Copper Company as a General
Superintendent, Mine Manager and Division Manager. His prior experiences
also include employment with Exxon Minerals as a Senior Mining Engineer
for their Project Development Group, and Laval University as a Professor
of Mining Engineering. Mr. Gignac has a Doctorate in Mining Engineering
from the University of Missouri-Rolla, a Master's degree in Mineral
Engineering from the University of Minnesota and a Bachelor's degree in
Mining Engineering from Laval University. Mr. Gignac is also a Director
