JOHN BENNETT joined Westbury plc as Group Finance Director in 1992. A Chartered Accountant by profession, John was formerly a director of housebuilder Beazer plc, with financial responsibility for its UK operation. Westbury plc is one of the UK's leading and most successful housebuilders with 1,084 staff, 80 of whom are based at the company headquarters in Cheltenham. Operating in over 40 counties throughout England and Wales, the company has grown from annual sales of 1,000 homes in 1979 to its current output of more than 4,000 homes per annum.
