JOSEPH E. STATTER, Senior Vice President, is the head of Communications
and Media Investment Banking at Friedman, Billings, Ramsey Group, Inc.
Recent assignments include advising ACTV in their recently announced
sale to Liberty Media. In addition, Mr. Statter has served as the
financial advisor to Ardent Communications in their Chapter 11
proceedings and was recently involved in representing buyers for certain
assets out of the Teligent and Winstar bankruptcy estates. Mr. Statter
was involved in the sale of Activate Corporation to Loudeye
Technologies, Inc.; the acquistion of Cerulean by Aether Systems; the
initial public offering of NetCreations and the subsequent sale of
NetCreations to SEAT Pagine Gialle; the secondary and convertible notes
offerings of Aether Systems; and the sale of webcasts.com to iBEAM
Broadcasting. Prior to joining FBR, he was a senior manager and director
with Arthur Andersen's Corporate Finance Group. While at Arthur
Andersen, Mr. Statter was responsible for executing private equity
placements and merger and acquisition advisory engagements in the
communications, technology, and business services industries. Mr.
Statter is a Certified Public Accountant and received his BS in
