Hugh Simon is Chief Executive Officer at Hamon Investment Group, established in 1989. He has been responsible for building Hamon’s institutional client base with groups such as BNY Mellon and HSBC. Under Mr. Simon’s leadership, Hamon fund management efforts focus largely on China and Asian emerging markets. Formerly the Managing Director and President, respectively, of Lazard’s Hong Kong and Japan offices and a Director of Lazard Investors in London, Mr. Simon was responsible for establishing Lazard’s offices in the Asian region and was in charge of overall investment and marketing for the area. Before joining Lazard in 1984, he worked for Schroders in London, Australia and Hong Kong for five years. He has more than 20 years of experience in Asian regional investments.
