Insurance Brokers: Jonathan Balkind – Fox-pitt, Kelton Inc

JONATHAN B. BALKIND is a Senior Vice President and head of insurance brokerage and bank research at Fox-Pitt, Kelton Inc. (FPK). Mr. Balkind joined FPK in 1996 as a regional bank and insurance analyst. On the banking side, Mr. Balkind has coverage responsibility for predominantly large and mid-cap banks. In the insurance area, Mr. Balkind has coverage responsibility for the brokerage industry, which consists of five companies ranging in market cap from $1 billion to $30 billion. Prior to joining FPK, Mr. Balkind spent four years as a corporate insurance broker at Marsh & McLennan Companies in New York, where he primarily represented Fortune 1000 companies.
