Michael J. Wherley, of Janney Montgomery Scott LLC, launched coverage of electrical components companies in May 2012, and he also covers industrial stocks. He joined the company in 2005, and for two years worked as a Research Associate under Janney’s biotech Analyst, Brian Rye, before attending the University of Oxford to earn a master’s degree in financial economics. Mr. Wherley then returned to Janney in 2008 as Senior Research Associate covering industrial stocks under Jim Lucas. Before working at Janney, Mr. Wherley spent seven years at Dow Jones & Company, while he trained and competed with the U.S. Olympic rowing team from 1997 to 2004.
