GREGORY AURAND is Portfolio Manager of the Orbitex Health &
Biotechnology Fund, Orbitex Medical Sciences Fund and the Orbitex Life
Sciences and Biotechnology Fund for Orbitex Management, Inc. He joined
the firm in September 2001 and has over 18 years of investment
experience. For the past six years, Mr. Aurand was responsible for
investments in the pharmaceutical, managed care, medical devices and
biotech industries. Prior to joining Orbitex, he was Senior Equity
Analyst for Munder Capital Management, a portfolio manager and Analyst
at Comerica Bank and Assistant Vice President, taxable fixed income at
Blunt, Ellis & Loewi, a subsidiary of Kemper. Prior to joining Blunt,
Ellis & Loewi, Mr. Aurand began his career in taxable fixed income
trading and was a Senior Analyst and consultant, acting as a fixed
income advisor and trader to financial institutions in 12 states. He
earned a Bachelor's degree in Financial Administration from Michigan
State University. Mr. Aurand is a Chartered Financial Analyst and a
member of AIMR (Association for Investment Management and Research) and
the Investment Analysts Society of Chicago. Profile
