Eugene Putnam Jr. – Sterling Bancshares Inc (sbib)

EUGENE S. PUTNAM, JR., has been Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Sterling Bancshares, Inc., and Sterling Bank since March, 2001. Prior to joining Sterling, Mr. Putnam was a Senior Vice President with SunTrust Banks, Inc., in Atlanta. At SunTrust, Mr. Putnam held a variety of roles in finance and treasury and served as the Director of Investor Relations. Mr. Putnam began his banking career with First Interstate Bank of California and spent 10 years with Crestar Financial Corporation in Richmond, Virginia, before Crestar was acquired by SunTrust. Mr. Putnam holds an undergraduate degree in Economics from the University of California, Los Angeles, and received an MBA with a concentration in Finance from The University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill.
