Richard Eckert
Richard Eckert is an Analyst at MLV & Co focused on mortgage REITs. Mr. Eckert has more than 20 years of industry experience in the mortgage finance industry. Prior to joining MLV & Co, he worked independently with a number of hedge funds, providing research on homebuilders, mortgage servicers and mortgage REITs. He has worked as a Senior Analyst at B. Riley & Co., Capstone Investments, Roth Capital Partners, Wedbush Securities and Sutro & Co. Mr. Eckert also served as CFO and Risk Manager at a hedge fund, and worked as a risk management professional for the Federal Home Loan Bank of San Francisco. Mr. Eckert is a CFA charterholder and a member of both the CFA Institute and the CFA Society of San Francisco — CFASF. Mr. Eckert holds a B.A. in English from the University of Notre Dame and an MBA in finance from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
