Component Demand Growth Comes from Auto and Data Traffic

Steven Fox, CFA, is Managing Director in technology supply chain at Cross Research LLC. His 20-plus years of equity analysis experience include a deep level of international exposure developed especially during the most recent 16 years following the technology hardware supply chain at Merrill Lynch, CLSA, and now, Cross Research. While at Merrill Lynch from 1995 to 2009, Mr. Fox placed on Institutional Investor’s All-America Research Team in all five years eligible, including second team rankings in 2007 and 2008. Lead coverage has included a range of industries that touch most of the technology- and industrial-served markets, including connectors and other electronic passive components, distribution, manufacturing services, fiber optics, storage, including hard disk drives and solid state technologies, liquid crystal displays, enterprise hardware, PCs, smartphones, and specialty wire and cable.
