Christian Bertelsen – Phoenix Investment Partners

CHRISTIAN C. BERTELSEN is Senior Portfolio Manager and Managing Director of Hollister Investment Management, a division of Phoenix Investment Counsel, Inc., Sarasota, Florida. He has led Phoenix Investment Partners' classic value team, Hollister Investment Management, since its establishment in 1997. Mr. Bertelsen is responsible for institutional and individual portfolios, including several pension accounts, managed accounts, a variable annuity sub account and two mutual funds, the large cap Phoenix-Hollister Value Equity Fund and Phoenix-Hollister Small Cap Value Fund, since their inception in November 1997. He also manages the domestic portions of the Phoenix-Aberdeen Global Small Cap Fund, Phoenix-Aberdeen Worldwide Opportunities Fund, and the Aberdeen Prolific American Opportunities Trust. Prior to joining Phoenix Investment Partners, Mr. Bertelsen was Chief Investment Officer at Dreman Value Advisors and Portfolio Manager of the Kemper-Dreman Contrarian and Small Cap Value Funds. He has over 30 years' investment experience, which includes his being a Senior Vice President with Eagle Asset Management, a subsidiary of Raymond James Financial, Inc. He had also been with Colonial Advisory Services, Inc. as Senior Vice President and Manager of the Colonial Fund. Earlier assignments in his career were at Batterymarch Financial Management and State Street Bank & Trust Company. Mr. Bertelsen holds an MBA and BA in Economics and History from Boston University.
