CHARLES G. BERG is the President and Chief Executive Officer at
Oxford Health Plans, Inc., and is a member of Oxford's Board of
Directors. He succeeded Norman C. Payson, M.D., who retired as
Chairman and CEO on November 22, 2002. Mr. Berg joined the
company in April 1998 as Executive Vice President of Medical
Delivery, and was given responsibility for claims and information
systems in 2000. He was promoted to President and COO in March
2001, given additional responsibility for customer service, sales
and pricing. Prior to joining the company, Mr. Berg was founder
and CEO of Health Partners, Inc., a physicians network management
company that operated in multiple markets, including the New York
metropolitan market, and merged in late 1997 with a publicly
traded physician practice management company. He received his
Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Macalester College in
St. Paul, Minnesota, and his Law degree from Georgetown
