David C. Joyce, CFA, joined Miller Tabak + Co., LLC, as the firm's equity research Media Industry Analyst in August 2005. He has 17 years of experience in equity research and investment banking. Mr. Joyce currently is ranked as a Bloomberg Best Analyst for his estimate and target performance of several of his companies under coverage. Since early 2000, he has been a Senior Equity Analyst covering the media industry at JB Hanauer & Co. and at Guzman & Company, and is best known for his coverage of the Spanish-language broadcasters and the international cable companies. Mr. Joyce placed third in the 2004 The Wall Street Journal Best On The Street award based on his 2003 stockpicking performance. In addition, he garnered recurring recognition for earnings estimate accuracy for media, entertainment, broadcasting and cable stocks. Mr. Joyce's career began at Salomon Brothers Inc., where he was an Investment Banking Analyst covering financial institutions and large-capitalization diversified companies. Subsequently, he was an Associate Analyst in The Bear Stearns Companies, Inc., equity research department for three years. He earned his MBA in finance at New York University's Leonard N.
