Philip Wood

Philip Wood is the Executive Chairman of MOS International Plc. Phillip started working life as a trainee accountant before joining the family business, Peter Wood & Co Ltd, a specialist metals company whose activities include steelstock holding, metal trading, manufacture and alloy development. He initially worked on the shop floor before becoming Managing Director in 1974. In November 1996, Phillip was appointed Group Chief Executive of the parent company, Peter Wood Group PLC. During his professional career he has been especially involved in the development of new metals including positions as a consultant to a number of metal-related companies and a specialist consultant investigating new metal technologies. In addition, he has experience in the buying and selling of businesses. Phillips hobbies include football, Sheffield United FC in particular, and sailing where he has captained British teams and won several offshore championships. He was elected to the committee of the Royal Ocean Racing Club in 2003.
