Neil T. Eigen is a Senior Portfolio Manager and Head of the Columbia Seligman Value Team. He began his career in late 1967 after serving two years as an Officer in the United States Army, where he served most of that time in South Vietnam as an adviser to a Vietnamese Ranger Battalion. He started his career with the National Bank of Westchester and then moved on to The Irving Trust Co. in New York City as Executive Vice President and Head of Equities. He then went to Integrated Resources Asset Management as Director of Equities and from there, went to Bear Stearns Asset Management as Senior Managing Director, Chief Investment Officer. In 1997, he joined J. & W. Seligman, the predecessor firm of Columbia Management. Mr. Eigen received a B.S. degree in investments and investment analysis from New York University.
