JOHANN MUEHLBAUER founded JUMP Industrielle Computertechnik together
with Heinz Iglhaut and another partner. Mr Muehlbauer started his career
in 1983 with Motorola Semiconductor in Munich. As a product engineer
responsible for high-speed semiconductor devices, he co-ordinated all
product related activities between major European customers and
Motorolas design and manufacturing facilities worldwide. In 1984 Mr
Muehlbauer moved to Motorola's semiconductor headquarter in Phoenix
Arizona, where he joined a project team for semiconductor test software.
Between 1887 to 1989, he joined OEM sales for Western Digital Germany,
and was responsible for Western Digital's major customers: NCR, Siemens,
Schneider and Commodore. Within two years, the revenues with these
customers grew from DEM2 million to over DEM10 million. From 1989 to
1990 he became Technical director for Gigatape in Germany, a start-up
for data backup drives. The main duties and responsibilities included
the recruiting of a complete engineering team of 11 people, as well as
purchasing and initial setup for subcontractor manufacturing. Between
1990 to 1991, he founded an engineering company to design PC hardware
