JIMMY TALLENT is President and Chief Executive Officer of United Community Banks, Inc., headquartered in Blairsville, Georgia. Mr. Tallent has over 25 years of experience in banking. In 1984, Mr. Tallent was named President of United Community Bank, Union County in Blairsville (formerly Union County Bank), which held assets of just $42 million. Five years later, in 1989, the bank marked its $100 million milestone. During the same year, the United Community Banks holding company was established under Mr. Tallent's guidance. Today United Community Banks is a $4 billion, 19-bank holding company with 67 locations across north, metro and coastal Georgia, western North Carolina, and eastern Tennessee.
