JANE E. SHAW is Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board of
Directors of Aerogen, Inc. Dr. Shaw joined Aerogen in January 1998. She
held a variety of scientific and management positions at ALZA
Corporation from 1970 to 1994, most recently as President and Chief
Operating Officer from 1987 to 1994. Dr. Shaw was a Founder and
consultant of The Stable Network, a consulting company that focuses on
improving the productivity and profitability of biopharmaceutical
companies, from 1994 to 1998. She serves on the Board of Directors of
McKesson Corporation, Intel Corporation and Boise Cascade Corporation.
Dr. Shaw received a BS and a PhD in Physiology from Birmingham
