JAMES J. PATTERSON, Senior Vice President and Chief Financial
Officer of Schawk, Inc., oversees all finance, corporate services
and administration functions of the company. His background
includes over 24 years of experience in accounting, auditing and
finance at numerous public companies. Prior to joining Schawk in
1997, Mr. Patterson served as Vice President, Strategic
Purchasing of IMC Global, Inc., a Fortune 500 company. Before his
successful tenure at IMC, Mr. Patterson was Vice President and
Chief Financial Officer of The Vigoro Corporation, which was
acquired by IMC Global in 1996. Earlier, he was with Great
American Management and Investment Company, a diversified holding
company (and an investor in Vigoro) where he rose to Vice
President and Controller. Prior to GAMI, he worked in public
accounting as an Auditor for six years. Mr. Patterson holds a
Bachelor's degree from DePaul University in Chicago, is a
Certified Public Accountant and is a member of Financial
