J. GRANT SMITH is the Senior Vice President and Chief Financial
Officer of both Clarkston Financial Corporation and Clarkston
State Bank. Prior to joining Clarkston Financial Corporation, Mr.
Smith was Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of
New Century Bancorp. He also has Big Four accounting and
corporate finance experience, having served as a Senior Associate
with PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLP, and regulatory experience with
the U.S. Department of the Treasury, Office of Thrift
Supervision, where he was a Federal Bank Examiner. Mr. Smith
holds a Master of Science degree in Finance and a Bachelor of
Business Administration degree from Walsh College of Accountancy
and Business Administration. He is also a member of the Financial
